|June 1st was the first in my area. My wife wouldve had a fit if I missed my daughters baptism.
July 12 is the next for me.

|I just started doing tri's this year. I've done three sprints and I'm registered for two more sprints and an internation distance. I'm in the 35-39 age group and finished 15th, 12th and my last race this past weekend I finally cracked the top ten and got 9th.
I've always biked so I'm decent at that. I started running a month before the tri's started so I'm just now getting a little speed in my legs. I just learned how to do the crawl this past winter so the swim is my weakest. At least the water temp of the lake this weekend was 80 degrees.
I hope next season that I start doing more olympic distances and maybe one 1/2 iron man. Then the next season I'll have to see where I'm at and if I want to attempt to do a full IM.

|Did my first ever tri on Memorial Day. 1000m open water (water temp 73 degrees) swim(22:11), 25k bike(1:03:31), 5k run(26:43). Total time: 1:52:25. I finished 19th out of 33 in my age group (30-34). Not too bad considering I had to use my full suspension mountian bike for this race (28-29 lbs). I need to work on my transitions a little, but I did just get a road bike and have started to train on that, man, what a difference. My next tri is July 6th. That one will be a pool swim 825 yards, 12 mile bike and 5K run. We'll see how that goes. Living in Tucson, AZ , makes training pretty hot, but I am having a lot of fun doing this. I been riding mountain bikes for a couple of years so I've gotten used to the heat, somewhat.|| |
