I am considering dropping a $1000 on a aero wheelset. Any opinions between Nimble Crosswind, HED H3, or ZIPP 404's? I live in the midwest, so windy conditions are a concern, but not hills (generaly). Other suggestions in the same price range will be appreciated.

Probably the best bet would be a Hed3 up front with a Renn disk in back (biggest bang for the buck). This combo should fit your $1K budget with a bit of change to spare. The disk in back mitigates some of the wind effects of the Hed3 up front. Nimbles would be a good second choice for the front if handling in wind is a big concern. I've used Specialized Tri-Spokes (same as the Hed3) in some very windy TTs with little problem, at a weight of 150. I swerved some coming in and out from behind berms, but I didn't waver more than a foot.

Yeah, I like the idea of a H3 up front and a disc. If the
wind is a big deal and you think a disc could be a
problem with handling the bike go with both H3, or both zipp 404.
