I currently training hard for a mountain event.
At present I'm training 6 days a week with a heart rate monitor.
I have one day off per week plus one day recovery ride.
At present I'm doing lots endurance rides between 60 -80 percent of MHR.
My question is that on my rest day and recovery day should I just rest my legs or rest the whole body????????
Because I would like to keep my running up, nothing big just a 45 minute run twice a week if I can.
But on which days.

|Its ok to double up some days, but it will be hard on you and you should make sure that you have a solid base built before that. Otherwise, any of your six days will work, but i recommend keeping the rest day as such.
Is there any swimming in this event?

I come from a mountain bike back ground, but I'm now into multi sport which involves kayaking,cycling,running.
I don't do any swimming events.
