|is it hard to restart training after a winter break. Not only a winter break of six weeks but also of carefree endulgence. Im talking beer, cake, chocolate, sweets and a whole lotta strange Japanese and Korean food. Ive put on about 4kg, was 73kg in peak shape.....now my shape is kind of roundy even though im 190cm, especially in the gut......It kinda depresses me as i remember nov 3rd (my last tri) i was so lean, but temptation overcame me and now im back to the start. Im looking at Ishigaki jima in April, im desperate to get back into that (i love training) state of mind...any advice where to start?, especially to minimise the risk of injury? just any advice for this time of year would be good, am i the only one who feels like this? thanks and sorry for complaining......again!|

|I'm in the same boat as you, but my break was a good 3 months!
I went on a few of the more scenic rides around town at a very slow pace (partially to enjoy the view, partially because I was too out of shape to go much faster =) ) and found myself just itching to stomp on the pedals and TT my way home. The same situation happened when I was out for a walk one evening. It really helped to light the fire again. I've been increasing my milage/yards since then and it feels great to be back in the swing!

|My winter break lasts about 2 weeks but its at the end of september, during this time I break down and clean my bike, then Oct 1 its back to training starting with weights. I'm the type of person that can't still for long though, I have to do something or I get bored real easy.|| |
