|.....most triathletes wear their swimming gear on the bike?? Is it a question of time savings? It seems like it would make much more sense to spend 3 seconds putting on a pair of cycling specific spandex shorts and having a way more comfortable ride to boot.|

|those suits have an integrated chamois. just as comfy as cycling shorts (imo), and you save 3 seconds to boot!
Not to mention, such suits provide me more motivation (depending on the gender in front of me).

|There's more to it. Ever try to put bike shorts on when your skin is wet? WAAAAAAAAY more than three seconds. I've worn a Speedo with unpadded bike shorts over in both the swim (under a wetsuit) and ride. If you're talking Ironman distances, yes it would be well worth it. For half-IM or less, just go with the Speedo (or tri-shorts).|

|I am a big fan of tri shorts myself.. for any distance... they are sort of a hybrid bike/swim garmant.. and i think that they work great for both, I find my new ones to be more comfortable then my regular cycling shorts.
