I'm hoping to do a RBR (3m 20m 5m) at the end of April, so I did a short BR session today (I assume these are called bricks?). Now I can easily do the individual distances above, but putting them together??? Pretty masochistic, IMO.

Spent the first 2m or so of my run doing about 1/2 my usual speed just trying to get the effects of the cycle out of my legs.

Heck, I'm addicted...

Of course you can do it. I think everyone can finish a race, it's how fast you do it in that's in question. The sensation you feel in your legs is normal. I think everyone gets it at first. But like drinking beer, after awhile you will adapt to it.
Bricks -- that's why we do 'embrider

That feeling you got in your legs, well, that's why we do bricks. It's that feeling that must be overcome to get going in the run as fast as possible. If you could look at yourself from outside, you'd see that it mostly "feels" different, but really doesn't effect your stride that much. It's a mental thing. Quads feel like they're flopping all over the place, stride feels like it's half it's normal length, feet feel like they're still going in circles. But you push hard anyway. IN a du, the REAL problem comes in getting past the stiffness that comes into the legs because of the first run, not so much from the bike. You'll do fine. Just enjoy the whole masochistic experience.
