Hi,
Can anyone recommend a set of books covering endurance sports nutrition, running (with info. on training, technique, how to pick specific gear etc.) & cycling (ditto) ?
I know of fine books dealing with triathlon training but I am looking into more focused titles.

Thanks,
Joel.

I'm not going to comment on the Nutrition end, as it's a fairly heated subject (and not necessarily based on scientific data) on these boards. However, I'd caution you on taking gear advice from books -- by the time a book is written, the gear data will be (1) out of date, and (2) based solely onthe athors opinion. If you're new to the sport, and are looking for advice on how to start training, then I'd recommend going to http://www.trinewbies.com/ or http://www.Slowtwitch.com/ and search through the articles there. Slowtwitch has a lot of info on bike fit as well. There's a plethora of books out there. A search on the Barnes and Noble site might get you a good list: http://shop.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/search.asp?userid=2UE36PIKHD&srefer=
