Hi there,
I'm looking for a good book that teaches triathlon training techniques in depth, with emphasis on how to construct your own training program.
I would be happy to hear of any recommendations.
Thanks,
Joel.

one that many recommend:
the triathlete's training bible, by joe friel.
it's in all the bike/triathlete catalogs and websites. read the review at amazon.com - it's got everything.

i also have "total immersion" by terry laughlin. teaches you about important swimming techniques and improving speed.

(in fact these 2 books often are bundled together)

for biking, i'm reading a book called "serious cycling" by PhD Edmund Burke. i'm new to strategic road biking and wanted to improve the my basic skills. so far it's been very helpful.

there is another book called "The Complete Book of Long-Distance Cycling" also by Ed Burke. haven't read it, but it's next on my list

check out the recommended lists on amazon.com from professional triathletes.
