| Where is Kristen Gum? | lithiapark Sep 7, 2003 5:57 PM | | I caught the coverage of the Vuelta today, and was pleased to see Sherwin/Liggett/Bobke in the booth. I sort of got used to Ms. Gum during the TDF, and my wife liked her so it was easier to get to watch 3 hours of the tour each nite for 3 weeks. I'd like to have her back if for no other reason than that. I at least thought she tried hard, but occaisionally got on the nerves of the boys, except Bobke. She was at least able to go with the flow whenever he got on a Roll. |
| Well, they seem to only pull... | Dwayne Barry Sep 8, 2003 4:11 AM | | out all the stops for the Tour, and produce all those extra "segments". For the Vuelta and Giro you get bike racing and the commentary, the only thing that would make the latter better would be some "expert" commentary from recent racers sitting in on the broadcast. |
| Bimbo Awards | Zman Sep 9, 2003 5:33 PM | | This chick does not have a clue about bike racing. I got sick and tired of her calling the Postal Team the "Boys" and insisting that TH was going to win the TDF.
She adds flavor by being a woman, but is clueless!

| Sherwin & Liggett often call the riders "the boys". | innergel Sep 12, 2003 1:30 PM | | She surely picked up this little bit of lingo from them. I find myself saying the same thing from time to time.
And I'll take Kirstn Gum and day over Adrian Karsten. That Frankenstein looking moron was the second worst commentator in the history of sports, after Brent Musburger. |
