Amazing how Mayo goes with Armstrong on the attack. Then the fall; then Mayo gets going first, everyone stops pedaling, Armstrong gets paced to the front, rides straight through, and NOBODY even attempts to follow. Also amazing how Hamilton can mysteriously find the strength to sprint directly to the front after suffering all day, tell everyone to stop, and then fall off the back again. And as far as losing 10% bodyweight in 1 hour, (bullsh*#) Armstrong allowed to win this year, won't return next year.
WTF are you doing here? Why are you even watching the TDF?eschelon

I mean, I'm a pretty cynical type of guy...but you really take the cake! Either A. you are really really insecure and never got alot of attention from your parents or B. you are just a troll looking to annoy people.

in one single post, you've proven to everyone that you know almost nothing about bicycle racing.

I think that the reason that nobody followed Lance is that they couldn't! They may have been able to cover the first surge (before the crash), but couldn't respond to the 2nd.

Secondly, I don't doubt that Tyler could have had the strenght to surge to the front of a group that was slowing down...

And as far as losing 10% of your body weight - it didn't happen in one hour - it was over the course of an entire day. My weight fluctuates by 2-3 lbs. on a given day due to fluctuations in water weight. I have, on occasion, lost an additional 2-3 lbs. directly after a long ride even though I stayed hydrated. Now, throw in being in a "dehydrated state"... I think that it's believable. I've also seen this type of weight fluctuation in athletes that were "overreaching"...

The reason that everyone stopped pedaling is the "unwritten rule" that you shouldn't use a crash by the race leader to take advantage.

wow, so many problems with what you wrote

1.Mayo attacked first. LA had the legs to respond and pass him up before the crash.

2. Mayo was following LA after the crash and only passed him when LA had pedal problems. Even so, they were going slowly and it is hard to argue for any drafting benefit to LA.

3. Second LA attack, nobody follows. So what? If Mayo had gone with him, that would have been better for Lance to have
someone share the climbing. Mayo is no longer a GC threat.

4. Tyler's surge to the front. One quick little surge up to tell everyone else to slow down and wait for the crash victims doesn't take all that much energy. If he's faking weakness to give the race to LA, why wouldn't he be higher up in the standings for himself, eg. 3rd?

5. Lance never said he lost 15lbs in one hour. It was between two weighings, I think that were at the beginning and end of the day.

So to sum up, what are you smoking??
