Lance, heat and the weather forecastjumphress

After the ITT, Lance said the heat really got to him but said it would be cooler in the days to come. Well, maybe. Just checked the Tour forecast for tomorrow's stage. 28C/32C from Toulouse to Gesse at the foot of Ax 3 Domaines, then 25/27 at the summit.

Could not find forecasts for towns along the other Pyrenees stages, but the weather in the region is supposed to cool a bit on Monday, then a little more by Tuesday.

Well, time to get out and go for a ride. Heat index here in Austin is a manageable 37C - right about normal!

``I saw the forecast for storms in the Pyrenees Sunday,'' Armstrong said. ``So that was good news.''

I'm not so sure ... It'll mix things up for sure. Don't wanna hear about our favorite cyclist hit by lightning. Strong and variable headwinds could hurt or help anyone. Blinding cloudbursts not great on fast downhill switchbacks. I guess he figures it'll be cooler, but who knows who else will perk up then.
