|I think it's gone for LA now. He needs AT LEAST a min and a 1/2 more lead after the TT today to stand any chance of keeping the jersey after the mountains, and I just don't think that he can do it.
Anyone up for taking over the iBanesto.com team at the end of the year (their sponsorship is out then)? If we all pitch in $5 we could probably run it as RBR.com

|I will give LA the benefit of a doubt, I think he and his team will keep things (breaks) in check after the mountains.
As for the iBanesto.com team, I am in. Put me down for $10.00 and I will drive the support car.

|I don't think $10 each would cut it but it brings up an interesting point. I wonder how feasible it would be organasize a co-op for the sole purpose of sponsering a cycling team.|

Do explain the math and history angle of that to us all...

|Let's see...LA has won the last 4 TdF without having to bank squat in the ITT, so what makes you think he needs to now (especially a minute and a half). Oh wait, you might be one of those that think the sky is falling for LA because he came out of the Alps with ONLY 21 seconds lead. How about we wait until Tuesday evening to prognosticate LA's fate.|

|"4" and "21" the entire maths content?
Look at where he has been previously coming into the ITT.
Jul 18, 2003 6:47 AM
|The ITTs from all 4 of LA's wins and he still had the best time overall in ALL 4 TOURS! That's all the math needed.|

|classic response for someone that hasn't the facts to back up their argument. If you can't counter the argument that LA could have eliminated all the ITTs over the past 4 Tours and still won on cumulative time than you need to break out the hash pipe again and head back to na-na land.|

And sort out your English before you lay into others about their math, freakboy.

|Lance has always secured a fair amount of his winning margin - at least 2:30 - in the first group of mountain stages. He has not needed to win the ITTs.
This Tour is very different than the previous four.
