|Does anyone know how fast the leaders were riding up the final climb today?
They seemed to be flying.

|During the attacks they seemed to be moving quite fast, but for the most part spectators seemed to be jogging along side some of the riders and it didn't seem like they had a hard time keeping pace.
So to answer your question: I have no idea :).

|Lance did it in just over 40 minutes. The climb up ADH is just a tad under 14km. I just did the math and if I'm correct, LA and crew averaged right at 21kph (13mph). Not a bad pace.

|but a good bit slower than when he won it. I think he went up the climb about 2 minutes slower than when he won on Alp d'Huez in 2001. Which means Mayo should have climbed it about the same rate as Armstrong's 2001 time. Neither of which come close to Pantani's record pace.|| |
