Sort of a belated question about yesterday's TTTCarleton

While watching OLN yesterday with the team time trial, one of the reporter/announcer/comentator guys was talking about the USPS team gear, like the skinsuit and the bikes, and he was also talking about LA's helmet. He said that Lance owned the patent to it, and he allowed a few other riders to wear it. My question is, if its such a great helmet, and it decreases turbulence and increases speed, why doesn't he let the entire USPS team wear it?

his helmet was developed using an air tunel with the help of some aero gurus. It has a special shape (like a fin at the end) because Lance has a hunched back. If you look at him from the side you will see it very clearly. Other riders can ride with a perfectly flat backs and will not require a special helmet (it would make them slower). I don't know why would Lance have the patent instead of Giro but David Millar also uses the same helmet.
