Very possible, and wouldn't that seems strange? Lance working for the yellow jersey!

if Pena gets it they probably won't defend it and you certainly won't see Armstrong riding any tempo on the front!

I think Bianchi going to surprise everyone and Ullrich will take yellow, although the logical pick is for Beloki to take it as he only needs a few seconds to get over Pena and few more to go over Ullrich.

The real darkhorses would be Cofidis or FDJ to pull out a great ride, and put Millar or McGhee (back) into yellow.

They might have Pena peel off at the end of the TTT, then again, that might not be right...

...are you kidding? They don't have to defend it too hard if they get it but of course they put pena in Yellow.. and what a reward for all his arse busting work in the tour.. to have a yellow jersey from the centenial tour!

It seems very likely too that he will be in the jersey after Wednesday. Unless Jan's team stepps up...

Not right? That would be 100% wrong...Dwayne Barry

you don't deny someone the yellow jersey. It's not like you have to defend it if you don't want to but there's no reason not to take it.

Bad enough, that after the prologue when Hincapie was the best placed sprinter (and I use that term for him with some hesitation, but he was mixing it up with success in the bunch sprints at his last stage race before the tour) that no effort was made whatsoever to get him in yellow. Then again, he's chosen his lot at Postal.
Lance would love to see Pena in yellowjptaylorsg

Postal is very tactical, so they're not going to go out of their way to put someone in yellow (Hincapie, for example) on a sprinter's stage, but I believe Lance, like any other good team leader, wants to reward his boys. What a great reward this would be for Pena. I bet they try to get Heras a mountain stage, too. I'd be surprised if Postal doesn't take the TTT, setting Lance up for a mountain attack.

...from the comments I have been reading. I don't remember Carmichael and others commenting so much on the team time trial in past years. I think they are very intent on winning it this year. And Lance would love to put another Postie in yellow as a reward. Sure they may not defend it, but how great to have a centenary jersey to call your own.

Cudos too to Nazon for grabbing one for Jean Delatour. It's great to see someone that motivated honoring the Tour. Better than the "zebra train" leading out you-know-who for a couple stage wins then dissing them all by dropping out as soon as the road pitches up. You know Delatour in in it for the long haul, at least as far as they are able.
