|Another one inside 500m. Is it as destructive as Sunday? Hopefully not. Some word about the aftermath indicating everyone is ok would be nice.|

|one Gerolsteiner down in the barricades on the peleton's left. Looks like he drifted too close and went down on one of the barricade supports.

From what you can see and from what jalabert says: Three riders abreast on the left hand side (from left to right Cooke, McEwen and Gerolsteiner guy), Baden Cooke comes up fast on McEwen's right and surprises him, McEwen leans into Cooke to stabilise himself while moving his bike out to the right slightly, Gerolsteiner guy shifts to the left to lean on McEwen but McEwen is already leaning on Cooke so Gerolsteiner guy ends up leaning on thin air and goes down... ouch!
