Wow, very impressed with David Millar's ride. But it also appears to have been a very good ride for Armstrong. His first win of the year.

yes was good for Millar but he's a strong TTer. and he only lost over a minute to Armstrong (nice understatement)

impressive when you consider it was reportedly a mostly uphill TT (and the prologue contained a significant climb as well). Add that to his 3rd place at the classic des Alpes, and he very well might be fighting for a podium spot at this year's tour. Probably have a better indication after the mountain stages in the Dauphine. As for Armstrong he looks set to dominate again, much to my disappointment.

you should revel in the fact that you get to see a rider of this level in your llifetime. I'm no LA homer (am a Merckx Freak) but TdF's and their like weren't televised like they are now so I didn't get to enjoy the cannibal as a kid. It's rare that a rider of this caliber comes along, consider yourself lucky to be a witness. He'll have some challengers (I think Tyler will be serious) so I don't think it will be a shoe in.

was only 30K TT (18.6 miles) Millar who finished 2nd was 1:07 behind. A minimum of a minute gap over the rest of the field in a 18 mile TT is an a$$ whooping
