Lance was riding some new deep profile carbon rim for this years mountain stages, at least for Ventoux. I have this burning question to what kind they are. (Not that it would be possible to buy them!)

can't remember the name right now, they are custom built in Europe. Guy makes very few and they are very expensive. I'll try to jog my memory

Lance's wheels were not ADA's like lots of people have thought. They are custom made a private company like ADA but, um, not ADA. The whole set weighs as much as a front 2002 ksyrium SSC SL tubular. They retail for $1800+ if you can find out who makes em. Someone I know who shall remain nameless saw, and touched, the same wheels lance used, which is why I know about them.
