|according to velonews he said he was blocked in a little and then the cobblestones made it hard to accelerate.
Personaly I think he was caught off guard and didn't have it in him to close the gap. but I still think his time trail will win it for him. Having the golden jersey will give him that extra needed to not lose the time.

|he tried. got caught off guard and couldn't respond fast enough. He was down by 8 cut it in half. Big difference? That is 1 tenth of a second per kilometer in the final TT. He had 1.6 seconds to give per kilo, now 1.5. Really insignificant if you think about it, if he can't hold it then Aitor deserves the win. I misread the dynamic profile of todays race, thought there was one more hill. Beloki is only 20 sec's off Sevilla, I thought Once (Beloki) would do something like AG today but I think Joseba is comfortable with that margin.|

|and under "sneaky", "brilliant" and "cheeky", there was a pic of Aitor Gonzales!! Man, what a stunning move by him today! I was surprised that CV and Rubiera were not in the front anticipating such a move. Looks like docking them 2 weeks pay should make them more attentive in future!|
