Sevilla --The kids got class (spoiler a bit )flying

Beloki has attacked Sevilla and Garcia Casas again. He passes Caucchioli and is now fourth on the road behind Blanco, Heras and Flecha. Gonzalez is still suffering on his own, but Sevilla has gone back to help him.

See that? this kid knows cycling a hell of a lot better than the man he is saving IMO

Yup, nice pace work and way to save a team mate who's ailing. Gee I guess O.S. has the ability to look behind him. A.G. must really feel like a jack ass.

I aint so sure about this class thing. During one of the many switching of cameras that the program director went through during the last 15 mins, i noticed that Sevilla dropped Aitor and was trying to go by his damn self. I think the only reason he rode to the line with Aitor is because Beloki dropped him and he was tiring.

he looked back twice and reduced his pace both times. He knows he doesn't have a chance so he's helping the guy who does.

Phil, Paul and Bob spent some time talking about Sevilla this morning. In their opinion, he did not wait for Aitor the whole time like he claimed in his post race statement. He went with or after Beloki but after he knew that he was not going to catch him, he then decided to wait and work with Aitor. Had he worked with Aitor earlier, Heras would not have beaten both of them by that much. Like i said, i aint so sure about "class". Looks like on Kelme, its every mutha*#^#*^ for himself!

i don't know if it was a matter of sevilla helping him so much as he couldn't keep the pace either.

I think not,,,,,, You dont make comment such as these knowing they will be printed........unless they are true

Oscar Sevilla (Kelme, 3rd GC)

"Aitor will recover in the time trial. I have sacrificed myself for Aitor and what is important is to win the Vuelta. I have carried out the orders of Vicente Belda."

"I could have stayed with Beloki, I had to stop to be with Aitor. Those were the orders of the team. Aitor failed at that moment and Vicente told me that he expected it, and that's what had to be done."

"What we cannot do is repeat what happened the other day [on the Angliru], it was an error and we are all human. He [Aitor] recognized that he made a mistake and therefore I have not made a mistake now."

"I am proud to have helped the team, but also a little disappointed at not being able to follow Beloki and the others. But we have come to win the Vuelta and that must be done with the team. "

and Aitor doesn't. It was obvious to me today as you saw Oscar look back, sit up and drop his cadence. Sevilla knows his chance is over so he's doing the right thing.

I would love to see OS's thoughts floating above his head here cartoon style ;-)

Looking at this pic it is obvious Aitor is wasted. He better recover well for the TT otherwise all his stupidity will have been for nothing.

Yeah I understand Kelmes need to win even if it is with Aitor. After all they were almost without sponsor not long ago. But still....... for 2 cents I would have left his 2 timing a$$ in the road today.

OS was ordered back to Gonzalez on Team orders? I guess the team realizes that it will come down to the ITT, and AG is their best bet.

Even if OS was freed to chase Heras, he couldn't make up enough time to guarantee a win after the ITT; so supporting AG is the action that would best succeed.

yes, was the best action and Oscar obeyed the team directive. Maybe Aitor will learn something.
