|granted that the conditions of yesterdays stage didn't help any, but does anyone else think that there seem to be way too many motorbikes in and among the riders, and that they seem to be much closer to them than they should be?
even the lead bikes for breaks or the peloton seem to be riding very close to the lead riders, almost giving them a draft, or at least serving as a carrot for the riders to shoot for. and how many rider/motorbike incidents have there been so far?
and then yesterday, the climbs were just a tangle of camera bikes, support bikes, and official's bikes; mix them in with rabid spectators and the narrow roads, and there was disaster waiting to happen.
similar to the team car that seemed to get stuck on the climb, it was blocking the whole road; any riders stuck right behind that would have lost a bunch of time.
