unchallenged during the last 10 or so stages of the tour?? I was! Lance pretty much had his way with the other teams and apart from a half ass challenge from Beloki on one moutain stage, there really was no other source of excitement (except maybe for the green jersey). If the same set of non challengers plan to follow the same strategy next year, i guess i will be watching the wack CBS weekly recap instead of the daily OLN coverage. Sorry. Just had to vent about the boredom of watching Lance dominate.

I don't find watching anybody that is the best in the world boring.

I watched in amazement how Lance could control the race, turn on the speed when ever he felt like it and lay down a dominance in a race that would keep his challengers from even thinking about attacking.

Every day I waited and watched to see how much time he could take out of Beloki, where he would attack and whether he would attack.

I also enjoyed watching Ja Ja take the climbers jersey again in his last tour.

I also enjoyed watching Zable loose the green jersey. It was a great race for the green, but you could tell he was going to loose it this year by mid race. He just didn't have the speed and dominace he had in the past.

To me parity in the peloton isn't that exciting. I like to see dominant riders and excelence in action. When they do loose it's a crowning achievment for those that beat them and makes it more exciting.

I agree with you Ron. Since I am a Lance fan I found the TdF interesting (it's not Lance's fault he was so dominant).
But, for non USPS fans I can see where this was a fairly boring TdF. I can't wait for next year.
