|The youngsters have their white jersey, shouldn't the old guys have one? Say, best rider over 35? My nominations are either Jalabert or Ekimov (don't know exactly how old he is, but he must be close to 40). Any others?|

|Jalabert's only 33, Ekimov is 36. Not exactly old!|

|He'll be 39 this October. Came in third on Stage 5 and forth on stage 10. The man is a brute. Incredible strength.
BTW, I totally agree. The grey jersey would be tres cool. Excellent idea.

|Hey, I just turned 49 and I'm still young. From the standpoint of endurance, speed over any distance, I could trash the me I was at half that age.
I don't know if a 50-year-old could ever hope to compete in the TDF, but it might be fun to have a bunch of the old racers start half an hour back from the youngsters and see how they do.
So, maybe it wouldn't be a grey jersey, but maybe one that says something like ...
"Over the hill ... and did it faster than YOU!"
