|"I don't think he has a chance to win because of the profile. It's long a flat, with the final climb as the only obstacle. It's an ideal stage for a break to get away. A guy who can motor on the flats AND climb will is the likely winner.
I predict that the winning break will contain some of these guys: Dario Frigo, Unai Osa, Richard Virenque, Mario Aerts, Alexandre Botcharov, Bobby Julich, David Millar, Denis Menchov, Patrice Halgand, Jens Voigt. Most of these guys will fall off, but Virenque, Halgand, and Menchov will survive. The winner will be Menchov."
Nice work. Too bad, you almost had Lance and Beloki placed perfectly too.

|I was very happy to see that at least some of the guys I picked actually followed my prediction! What I didn't account for was that a couple of the guys I picked would go out on a break on Saturday. Millar even had to go and win the stage.
I'm still wondering what happened to Menchov.
Good for Virenque. I still don't like him, but he is going to get a reputation as a breakaway specialist. Last year, he dings the sprinters at Paris-Tours. This year he dings the climbers at Ventoux. Performances like this make me wonder if he really needed the EPO back in the old days...

|Maybe Virenque is still using perfromance enhancers! Kinda funny that the Frnechies were yelling Doper! at LA when their countrymen (Virenque et al) were so scandlized in the Festina debacle.|| |
