|I was watching last nights OLN coverage and one of the announcers (don't remember which one) called Lance "The Tornado". Could this possibly be the beginning of a nick name for Lance. It seems that all great riders end up one and it's not a thing that you can give your self.
I personally like the sound of it, a tornado spins like crazy and devoures everything in it's path. Sounds like Lance to me.
Anybody else catch that on the coverage? Who else likes it?

|Yeah, I like it. The Texas tornado? I would prefer "the drug free guy who beats the doped up French in their home country" but that's to long. Okay, he spins like a tornado - I like it.

|Texas Tornado is already taken by the Late Professional Wrestler Kerry Von Erich. He killed himself while awaiting trial for drug posession. He also had 3 brothers who were also wrestlers, who died very young.|

|At least its not as lame as Pantanni coming up with his own when he didn't like the one given him. But then thats kinda like what von Erik did...stage names suck; stage wins rule.|

|I recall Lance ridiculing Pantani for choosing his own nickname, adding that he couldn't decide to start calling himself
"Big Tex" and expect it to stick. Yeah, probably because Austin roots aside, Lance is not a big Texan. Big on heart, endurance, and speed, but not a Texan with a dinner-plate-sized belt buckle who swaggers around like Hoss Cartwright.
Three in a row definitely deserves a nickname, though.
