Sunday's Stage Not On OLN?Mike G

Why wasn't Sunday's stage shown on OLN? Is it because of the CBS bogus 1 hour TdF special? I agree with the comments I have ready about the average Joe is getting this eye-candy crap from CBS. What is going to happen when they hit Paris? Does CBS take over again? I hope not.

CBS is covering (term used loosely) the TdF on Sundays, but OLN is still airing the stage highlights on Sunday evenings. This is good, because we still get to see 2 hours of OLN coverage, even though the stage ended earlier in the day. Next Sunday should be the same.

I know it is about money and etc but I hate the fact that CBS then gets Ligget and et al with CBS logos and it makes it look like CBS is doing some expert commentary. I am a huge football fan and this is the first year I watched the TdF. I thought the mountain stages where better than the superbowl. I was thrilled to see them live. A wonderful treat before the next Football season. I can appreciate what those riders go through because I am a mere recreational cyclist and I wish I could be 1/1000th as good as the worse rider on the Tour. It is nice to be able to relate to the know what a hill/mountain feels like.... Go Lance and Jan...

I like that analogy. Of course in football with the intensity involved, there would be no second day possible, let alone 3 weeks of athletes pushing their limits.

Did you really just come on to a TDF message board and call football an intense sport? WOW, that's the most insulting thing I've seen on this entire message board. (even with "LOU" telling us that Jan Ullrich doesn't care about cycling)

Never played--huh?

I don't understand the need to insult one sport while praising another. I've enjoyed cycling for 30+ years but I played football thru college and have coached wrestling and track and field and guess what? I enjoy them all as spectator sports and to whatever degree I can still participate as well. I don't think I'm unique

I don't get OLN so I live with CBS and listen online thru Yahoo sports. It's not bad actually. The Yahoo coverage that is.
I think CBS and OLN are owned by the same parent company......XJT

I could be mistaken.
