Telekom is!! Clearly, they have a much stronger team than the Posties, but they don't have the strongest leader. Appart from that, I'm impressed with Euskatell. Here is a team that was one of the wildcards for tour entry, and they have been at or near the front of every stage nearly the whole way (except the TTT). I like to root for the underdog, so I pick them. Watch out for some of their riders over the next few years.

To comment on your pick of Kelme, they are doing in this TdF what they do in every TdF. They break away in the mountains, and try for the stage wins. They'll never have a real contender if they continue this trend, so what is really to like about them. As a team, they are very disorganized, and one would think that for such a strong climbing oriented squad, they would pummel the Posties and Telekom in the mountains. They have not done this in the past, and they aren't doing it this year.
I see your point......CDC

..i think my liking them has more to do with liking the individual riders more so than the team as a whole. Being a relative newbie...I'm finding myself especially fond of the Spanish Teams and riders. No real reason, but I think the climbing ability is what i admire. Hell I admire all those guys in the mountains.
What has Telecom done?Mike K

Why would anyone say that the team of the the guy being embarassed daily and let down by the rest of the "men in pink" be called the strongest team in the Tour? The team exists only to support its leader - not for individual wins (with the exception of teams without a leader in position to win like Kelme who race for stage win glory)
On the ascents where team members have lead out their rider for the final attack has there been a Telecom domastique around? All I remember are USPS riders pulling LA to the front and keeping him there until he buries the pinkie in white... On the last climb today I seem to remeber three USPS riders and just one Telecom rider...
Where were the Telekom "pinkies"...?Lou M

today when it probably counted the most? LA had two teammates with him. Sure Livinston broke away for a little while as part of their strategy of isolating LA in front. Guess what? when LA put the hammers down Livi couldn't keep up and who was there towards the end? Heras, LA, and Ulrich...
