anybody know why? I mean, they were teammates at one point, and woulda been again with Cofidis if not for the cancer, so whats the deal? Jullich seems like a bit of a headcase...
Julich is a weak man.Francis

I had high hopes for this guy. Hard luck the past couple of years and everything was coming together this year with excellent GC standing and a good team.

But then Stage 10,11,12 come and his performance is pitiful. Vaughters is saying in stage 10 "I will leave your ass now my weak leader!"

weak man? anyone who can qualify for and finish the TDF can hardly be thought of as weak in my book. Julich has had some bad breaks, but I think he still could be a great cyclist in the future.

is that Julich didn't provide lance much support when cofidis canned him after they found out about the cancer, but that's just speculation. lance has been known to have a pretty big ego and i imagine he can hold a grudge about stuff like that...though all in all it's probably a press creation as much as anything.
He dislikes Steve Larsen too for same reasonspookyload

Remeber when Steve Larson used to race for motorola? He and lance didn't get along either. Steve is a very confident type that wants to be the team leader. I would assume Bobby Julich is the same way. You can only have one chief per tribe, so Steve was dismissed, and Bobby is nothing but competition for the "America's Boy" role. Luckily for Steve he found Mtn Biking, and found his own niche. Anyone remeber the Mt Snow race where LA tried his hand at that venue? It wasn't his finest moment to say the least.
