Anyone know what was Lance's bike setup used on this stage? What gear was he in?

39x23 and then he switched to the big ring near the top.

a 53-39 chainring setup, and a 23-13 cassette

Hmm, I did not know that Shimano made a 23-13? Maybe 12-23. I know that in a Giro mountain stage they were using a 12-27, but I think it may have been steeper.

If you are trying to compare yourself to Lance, it is probally best to not think about it.
