I couldn't stand him at first, but now I think he's pretty damn good. The first show he was overbearing, but he gradually toned it down over the week. Now, I think he's doing great work. Yeah, he messes up a name or two, but Phil and Paul haven't gotten them all right either.
are your local tv folks hacking up names?Francis

... how are your local TV announcers doing at pronouncing the names??

Over here in the SF Bay Area, it's real bad. They don't have a clue and play it off like the pronounced it perfectly.

I do have to give him credit on the sheer fact that it is live TV and it is not scripted for the most part, yeah the little facts and stuff are but nobody knows whos gonna be in a break or whos gonna take the stage, so in that respect he's getting better. Of course having the man-gods Phil and Paul around arent helping his cause very much.
I hope he learns to pronounce Alpe D'Huez before tomorrowslowideclyde

He's no worse than Adrian Karsten or John Tesh as long as he keeps it brief and gets out of the way of Phil and Paul.
