|What a race! Jalabert must be on cloud 9!!!
Very entertaining stage.
I wonder if the big boys are getting concerned?
Voigt has quite a lead.

|Generally not considered good netiquete to post results in headers. Better to post in the message with a header or "spoiler, results inside!"|

|The race is over, so whats the problem?|

|Some people haven't watched the coverage yet, and would not want to know the result until they watch it. |
These stages don't really bother me..., but somepeople they do.
Really only the TTs I would like to watch without knowing the results.
Even the mountain stages don't really bother me, because the winner isn't nessesarily someone going for the GC. But again, some people really like the surprise of watching the stage without knowing the result.

|If one does not want to know the results of a stage before watching the highlights, them don't log into the this forum either. We have every right to discuss the stage results when we know them and we are not going to wait until late at night to post our thoughts. |
How are we supposed to know if you have not seen the results yet, esp?!?

|Never did I say "Don't discuss results". I never did, I simply said it would be nice to not have them in the headers.|

|After the TDF is over, and all the mags have covered it?
Seriously, thats not a good reason. The race is over, so its fair game for discussion.
Enjoy the coverage.

|Whenever I cant make the live coverage, I dont even get online until the later coverage. If you cant hold yourself back then dont complain to us about posting results, we post them as they happen for the most part. ON the TTT I was posting my ass off in here, USPS crashed, Telekom coming in 7th, CA takes the overall stage, etc.|

|Jalabert is a great, classy rider. Not to mention everyone was beginning to write the 32 year old as past his best days. This has been revenge season for the old warhorses like Jaja and Cipo. This is the best 1st week of the tour in a long while. Lotta drama, some great wins. Something for everyone.
Earlier I was checking out the times last year at this point in the TdF and Lance was down 5:53 after the 7th stage. Almost the exact same as this year. After Hautacam Lance was in the lead and up on #2 Ullrich by 4 minutes. Incidentally Voigt lost over 30 minutes on that one day. So I don't think anyone is really worried about him.
From what I've seen Lance looks the strongest and I think US Postal is right on track. Who's gonna blow him out in the mountains? I just don't see it.

|I am ticked that the Tour director's decision to exclude deserving teams in favor of French teams and riders appears to be justified.
Too bad they don't start the race on June 6 near Normany or St. Lo on the anniversary of D-Day so an American can win and the French can remember how the US saved their asses. Thanks to my grandfather and his generation.
Ah heck, this is a bike site. Jalabert is a class act and rode a great race today. Congratulations to Jaja.

|I don't think anyone's very worried about Voigt though. He was off the back of the breakaway and nearly dropped near the top of one of the relatively easy climbs today. I still think Julich has the form and team to get back on the podium. He should also be motivated after his poor showings the last two years.|| |
