....and I'm going to buy 2 new TVs tonite. Only thing freaking superiors will be in town next week so I am going to have to do alot of taping, and probably be up late watching.

I kept looking at my VeloNews Tour Guide, and the closer the mountain stages got, the more pressure I felt. I cracked today.

You are going to love it, my man! OLN airs the race live in the morning and then they re-air 3 more times during the day/night. If you miss the live action, you can catch it after lunch. If you miss that you can see it prime time. Missed that one too? No problem, watch it in the middle of the night!

Yeah I had Dish network but I would of had to upgrade to a new system and package, so I switched to digital cable instead. Plus say you want to try digital cable and they may offer you a discount. I had Americas top 50 package and the HBO package for $34.99/mo and the cable company bought my reciever for $200 and I have OLN, local channels, HBO, Showtime, and the Movie channel for only $34. The only thing that sucx is that my dish network reciever had a radio remote control, ANYWHERE in the house you could change channels and the picture was a lot better too, but I have OLN and added showtime for a buck less a month. I do have to keep it for a year though but thats what you have to do if you upgrade, so they keep your balls in a vise.

PS: OH MY GOD IS THIS COOL!!! I broke down and had it installed on the Friday before the Tour, nice timing!! You will love it man trust me, LIVE!!! coverage at 6:30AM WST, replay at 12 and Replay with more interviews at 6 and repeat of the 6 show at 10. I dont know where you are or where you work but you gotta watch stage 10, l'Alpe d'Huez Tues the 17th, uphill TT the next day, final days in the Pyrenees and the Col du Tormalet, on Sun the 22nd and the final TT on Friday the 27th LIVE my man. I REPEAT YOU MUST WATCH THOSE STAGES LIVE ON TV. No other way will do. I watched the TTT live at 6:30 and I am NOT a morning person!!! But you gotta do it man.
Won't be able to....NoWillpower
Jul 13, 2001 9:03 PM live during the week. I'm gonna have to tape those. Like I said, the boss will be in town, not getting around it. Just got the new TVs hooked up. The DISH folks will be here in the AM.

Well its only for 2 hours anyway. I'm in Oregon (pronounced Or-E-gun for those of you on the east coast) and its from 6:30 to 8:30AM so at best you'll miss about 30mins. Or if your in the east coast 9:30 to 11:30 BUT the l'Alpe d'Huez stage starts at 7:30Am to 11:30EST. Actually I'm not sure if you can see the final day inthe Pyrenees live since its on CBS at 3-4PM EST Sunday the 22nd, not sure about live OLN coverage.

Dude if you cant take out a measly 2 hours off from your job then I would suggest getting a new job take that time off and skip lunch and you'll only loose an hour. Spent the morning/noon eating and watching. A total of 8 hours MAX offcause of l'Aple d'Huez is a 4 hour thing, but the last 2 will have enough action. Promise me that you will watch at least 1 stage live, its the only true way to watch the Tour. So far I'm 3 for 7 I watched the prologue, stg. 4, and the TTT which was so sweet live Zabel flatted and I thought Telekom was dead, and then USPS crashed and I almost had a heart attack.

Let me tell you this, it just feels different watching it live, please trust me. Canned or fresh, Ferarri or kit car, Rolex or Bolex?? Once you get OLN and watch the live version the taped version it really is different.

I know what you mean. I have watched some of the stages taped and some live. Live is where it's at. I saw the TTT live and it was SO COOL! Even though USPS finiashed 4th it was an impressive ride considering that 2 of their guys went down. (They still kicked german Buttocks.)
Yep, welcome. A good club indeed.Lardog
