the yellow jersey??Spiderman

Okay, I don't get that if there is one yellow jersey, how come the sponsers of the riders team are on it. Does this mean that each team brings one yellow jersey to wear if they are in the lead? Or does the tour de france have one, with its own sponsers on it and the team just attaches its name (usps, telekom, cofidis) on the front? does my question make sense?

There is one person whose job is to afix the sponsor to the leader's jersey. Often he will have one printed up for each possible contender on any given day. Early in the race such as now, it is too unpredictable so he must be able to get one ready right away. I believe that the jersey winner gets one each long sleeve and short sleeve each day he holds the jersey.
I think I read.....CDC

...that they get 3 YJ's for each day they hold it. I remember reading something about LA passing them out to the whole team, after the tour.

They have all the primary sponsors logos, and then once the GC is calculated they just throw it in a silkscreen press and take it out to the podium for the presentation. Since its silkscreened onto the jersey, its theirs to keep as a souvenier/trophy, thats probably why Lance was handing them out last year because he was in the maillot juane for more than one day, its not like they give you only one for the entire Tour, what happens if you win the first stage by like 40 minutes and are in the lead for the entire race? If you spill pasta sauce on it then your gonna have a big stain for 3 weeks, and we know thats no way for the Tour leader to look.
