|Anyone know how many feet of climbing are in the 50 mile 3 gap option? How steep are the climbs? Would a 39X24 gear be all- right for an intermediate rider? I rode a 50 mile ride the other day with around 2500' of climbing, but the steepest grade was around 8-9 percent.
Thanks in Advance

|39X24 might be OK for an "advanced" rider, but you are probably going to want a 26 or 27-tooth cog on the rear. There is probably around 5,000' of climbing on 3-gap (nearly 11,000' on Six Gap). Neal's Gap is long, but not too steep. Wolfpen is very steep (double digit grades). Woody is relatively easy.
Hope this helps.
