Below is information for a charity bike ride for the Arthritis Foundation. We invite all cyclists to attend a day of fun for a good cause.
Entries are now being accepted for the V2V bike ride on Sunday, July 21 to benefit the Arthritis Foundation. Participating cyclists, their bikes and gear will be transported by bus from Vernon, Connecticut to Vernon, Vermont. Participants then have the choice of biking an 80 or 100 mile course back to Connecticut. Event organizers are expecting over 200 riders, rain or shine. There is a registration fee of $65 before and $75 after July 15 and pre-registration is required.
The Arthritis Foundation, working with Vernon Cycle, successfully resurrected V2V last year. In addition to the great exercise, the ride is known for its beautiful scenery and fun atmosphere.
Cyclists are provided with transportation, T-shirts, prizes and food. A light breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided throughout the day. The ride culminates at the 80/100-mile mark with food, beverage, music, prizes, and fun to celebrate the cyclists' efforts.
The mission of the Arthritis Foundation is to improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control and cure of arthritis and other related diseases. For more information or to register for the V2V bike ride, contact Deborah Poudrier at 1-800-541-8350 or visit http://vernoncycle.com/site/page.cfm?PageID=43.
