hey,

any AZ roadies out there? i have been riding mtb for 10 years. just got a road bike.

where are the best roads to ride in the summer?

Best roads to ride in the summer? The choices are many, but ride them EARLY! Actually, I don't think it's too bad riding late in the afternoon, either, when the sun is low on the horizon.

You will find many roadies in north Scottsdale, on Pima Rd. (lots of traffic, though) and the hilly roads that branch off from Pima - i.e. Happy Valley Rd., Dynamite Rd., Legend Trail Pkwy., through McDowell Mt. Ranch and pretty much all over north Scottsdale.

Also lots of great riding in Ahwatukee - Pecos Rd. between 40th St. & 17th Ave. is good; you'll discover the rest. There are lots of roadies out there that will show you the rest.....

Once you figure out *where* to go. You can get some of your friends to post a message at this link if they're meeting at a certain place & time. It works for me and my friends. The site gets cleaned out every few days to so there's not a lot of garbage to go through.
