|I have 5 months to get ready to ride 900 miles in ten days. With work I only get to ride three times a week and rarely go farther than 50 miles. Any training tips? How many miles should I be riding a week to prepare? I would appreciate and advice you all have to give|

|Try to work up to at least one longer and longer weekend ride. You gotta get used to sitting and pedaling for long periods. Up your long one around 5 miles each time, until you get to at least 100. Totally different things happen with your body after 3 or 4 hours in the saddle, and you need to adapt to that and know what it feels like.
Then, I'd do one other higher speed cruising ride of 30 miles or so, plus one interval/hill/speed workout each week. That's the minimum.
