52/42, that looks similar to a French Nervar (aluminum) crankset in design. Its on a 25.5" Schwinn chrome frame that has a somewhat defaced Cro-Mo (inverted triangle) decal on the seat tube. Also has Campagnolo deraileurs - Nuovo Record. I thought of picking it up, but its not my size and the pedals, handlebar, stem, brake levers, and front wheel are missing. I'm wondering whether the crankset has any collector value. Opinions?

Is the vintage of the bike from around pre '65 or so?

I'm not sure, but I think if that is in real nice shape it may be worth some bucks to the right person.
