|Does anyone know how to figure out the date of a rear Huret Duopar derailler? I have two of them. One has an all metal body that is silver. The other has a brown body (not sure if it's plastic or not). There are subtle differences in the deraillers - slightly different cable stops, etc. - but otherwise look about the same. The "Huret" emblems are identical, and both are pre-Sachs.
I'm not sure which is older, or the date that either was made. Does anyone know how to approximate age? I'm restoring a 1981 bike, and I don't know which of the deraillers is "more corrrect."

|I had one of the all metal silver Duopars on a Motobecane I bought new in 1978 so I don't think you'd be far off with that one on a 81 bike.
I'm not familiar with the other style Huret you described as that was the only Huret derailleur I've ever owned.
