|Does anyone know when Bianchi changed the Celeste color from the old sky blue Celeste to the new green Celeste ?
I wonder if they will ever make "Real" bikes again in the Racing Department.

|All of the Bianchis I have seen are what I would describe as aqua green. Several years ago, Bianchi started adding a pearlescent top coat over the Celeste green. I bought some Celeste paint from Bianchi USA a couple years ago to touch up my frame, and it comes in two cans. The base coat is the classic Celeste green, and the top coat is the pearl. |
Are you saying, though, that older Bianchis were actually sky blue? I have seen older Bianchis (from the 40s and early 50s) for sale on eBay and they were all Celeste green.

Back in the 60's I once saw a yellow-green sunset over New Jersey. I'm not sure what was more surprising: the color, or the fact that the pollution over New York had cleared enough to see the sunset at all.

|Hmmm, make "real" bikes...as in steel lugged framesets!! I hope someday they do. I have several Bianchis from the 90s. They will be remembered as the final days of the steel lugged frames....|

|I still use my early 90's TSX frame as a TT bike.|

|the spray touch up I recently bought matches my 2000 EV2 and my 1980 Rekord: http://www.midcalracing.com/celeste.htm
Real racing bikes? What about the EV4?

|Beer can bikes are alright, I've got one also. I've got a tig welded steel bike that rides better than the TSX Bianchi, but it's still not the same. If I still weighed 160 pounds, I would ride the Bianchi all the time.|
