Nuovo Record brake pad squeeeeks ?hdnoise

My old campy inserts are like rocks & I do need to stop once in awhile. I have tried the aztec red pad/holder combo. Just tried kool stop thin lines. I have toed in, cleaned the rims (Mich. open pros, not ceramic, new) and still squeelers. Any success with other brands/styles? I want to keep the brakes for retro-grouch reasons....

Thanks.

you've already done everything! maybe more toe-in, as that's usually it. also check that the calipers are tight and not chattering, and a drop of oil where the spring contacts the ends of the housing can't hurt. if your original Campy pads have meat left you can "dress" them lightly on the side of the wheel on a bench grinder to expose some fresh rubber. They stll won't stop worth a crap but it will be better (and look better than modern pads without wheel guides). good luck.
