Mavic “Look” pedals / Alan frameJR007

My Dad just gave me his Alan Carbon/Aluminum bike with all Campy. It's only got about 500 miles total on it, it's like brand new! The pedals are Mavic clipless, but say Designed by Look in small type on the footbed.
Is anyone familiar with these? My Look cleats fit them. Also...the Alan frame is too small for me, so I'm putting the parts on another frame and selling the Alan. Anyone happen to know what the value of something like that would be?
What size is the frame?Dave Hickey

I've been looking for an Alan carbon frame. I'm interested in a 50-53cm. Email me at dhickey@hotmail.com. I'll be flying this afternoon so I might not be able to get back to you until tomorrow.

I don't mean to devalue the cool looking Alan frame, but it is notorious for sudden and catastrophic failures at the lugs. Alan was not able to prevent galvanic action between the aluminum lugs and carbon tubes and the resulting corrosion is not related to use, only age. I would suggest that the responsible thing to do would be to harvest the parts and retire the frame. After all it's a freebe.
I have some of those Mavic/Look pedals.OldEdScott

Salvaged them off the $40 PX-10 I mentioned below. Heavy as sin and ugly, but perfectly functional with Look cleats -- and certainly bulletproof. I use 'em on my indoor trainer bike.
