Based on the paint and alloy crank, that looks like a PX-10. Does the frame have a Reynolds 531 label? and does it have the original sew-up tires and other components? PX-10's were nice bikes and there were lots of them around in the 70's and early 80's. Nice ones get real good prices on Ebay, probably because those of us who remember them are old enough to have plenty of money to spend on them. It's still a nice bike to ride, either with the original drive train or converted to a fixed gear.

... a trash pile. That one's got lower-grade tubing and a cheap gruppo, but the same amount of chrome.

It's hard to tell from this range without knowing some details. It won't be a hot collectable, just a nice old bike. A lot will depend on your market. As a yard-sale item, $25. To someone who used to own one just like it and wants to recapture their youth, who knows? My guess, $100 to $150 in decent riding shape, but maybe a little higher if it has the best stuff.

PX -10's are among the most collectible bikes, almost as desirable as Schwinn Paramounts from the same period. It's all about old farts remembering what they wanted when they were young, weird French components and all. If you got a nice looking rideable one for less than several hundred dollars, that was a steal. Most other Peugeots are now beater bikes at best.
I had no idea they were so prized. I gave the thing toOldEdScott

If that's a PX-10, it's worth a fair amount. The problem is Peugeot sold similar looking bikes that aren't as valuable. Try the Classic Rendezvous website. There should be a serial number on the BB. Someone at CR should be able to help identify it as a PX-10

at my garage sale 12 years ago. I've stopped drinking since then. It was rust eaten but probably restorable. Everytime I see one of these threads I go into this black hole of regret!
That's a PX-10, for sureAlexx

It's got the beautiful Nervex lugs. Assuming that it is undamaged, it may be worth a few hundred dollars, maybe more.
