|I have a Bianchi Nuova Racing that I bought new around 1985 and it looks very similar to your frame -- same color, decals, cable guides on top tube. Mine is a steel lugged frame and fork. The seat stays have a blue B engraved where they join the seat tube, and the fork crowns have a blue Bianchi engraving. There is a steel cable guide attached just above the bottom bracket. Horizontal rear dropouts with adjuster screws. Eyelets on front and rear dropouts. Nice frame although heavy by today's standards -- about 7 lbs. for the frame and fork. |
When new, my Bianchi had Campy Nuovo Record derailleurs and shifters, Ofmega cranks and pedals, Universal brakes, Bianchi seat post, Cinelli stem, Ambrosia wheels, 3T bar. Bianchi tended to put a mix on components on their older bikes, rather than complete groups as is common now.
