Changing bike from down-tube to STI/Ergo shiftingMrDan

Hi guys,
Looking at "steel things - Italian". The steed in question is an 8 speed Chorus with down-tube indexed shifters. Since the dropouts are 130mm, I'm wondering if anyone makes barrel-tube adjusters that fit on the existing down-tube shifer bosses, so at some later date I may update easily to 9 spd. Also does Campy make down-tube 9 spd shifters?

Thanks much!

whoops, meant 8 to 10 spd in the Italian world! nmMrDan

Campy makes a nice alloy boss that screws onto the downtube braze-ons and has a barrell adjuster for the Ergo cables. I have a new set with hardware. I'll trade you the set for your left hand d/t shifter and hardware. At the moment Campy is not making any d/t shifters (why I need the one shifter). If interested in the trade or just want to buy a set contact me offlist otis@otisrecords.com
