where does this bike fall in scope of retro bikes? i found one that is in pretty poor shape. is it worth saving? most if not all the parts would need replacing. looks like it might have been in the back of a barn for a long time and not necessarily covered the whole time either.

The Interclub, if I remember correctly, had a fairly cheap non Reynolds 531 frame, okay componentry for the time, and, amazingly, sew-up rims and tires. When me and my college friends all bought Tour de Frances, my sister found herself talked into buying one of the Inters. The way I see it, it's more a moldy oldy than a bona-fide classic.

Not a great bike but not too bad. It had a high carbon frame, definately not 531 type stuff. Simplex Prestige shifters and aluminum clincher rims on my bike. The crank was some three spider crank. It was an upgrade from my Raleigh Gran Prix but only slightly. I was not sorry to see it go.
