It's a little more money than I wanted to spend, but appears to be like new. The trouble is that in this price range, other options become more appealing -- like a brand new Colnago MXL from Maestro for $900. I will follow the auction, however, and who knows? I found a frame nearly identical to this, with two forks (carbon and steel) for only $375, but it was one size too large for me.
well, somebody liked that Merckx an awful lot ...tarwheel

It sold for the "But it Now" price of $899 on the first day. Good. Now I won't be tempted. That was more of a collector's bike than what I was looking for. Honestly, my main reason for wanting to buy a Merckx is the fit. I would rather order a custom than spend that much for a 10-year old frame.

Yeah but that was a pretty special frame too. If it were my size I would have been tempted.
My Colnago MXL which is less than a year old with BB & HS as new has not been snatched up yet & it is a good price IMO
But it just goes by what someone wants ;-)
