|I have a 80's era Bianchi and am contemplating having the frame refinished on it. I would like to know what quality the frame is.
The materials tag on it reads
Tubi Speciali Rinforzati
Is it worthwhile to refinish this frameset? Is it a good quality steel?
Thanks for the help

|its good quality, works well, is a little heavier than the better stuff from the same era ...... but its not desirable and probably never will be.
if it fits and is straight i would happily ride it and enjoy it .... but to go to the expense of restoring it or repainting it is something i wouldnt consider unless it has significant sentimental value.
its not bad stuff but its not brilliant either - its good and considered entry level in terms of premium tubing used on quality frames. as its a popular italian frame manuf. it should always carry a little higher premium if you plan on selling it.
