Considering your advanced sense of Bike Aesthetics, I'm wondering: If you had a red LeMond Buenos Aires (with black tape/hoods/stem/bar/pedals/wheelset) and were looking to put a new Brooks B-17 on it, would you choose black, honey or maroon for the saddle color? I'm leaning to maroon, but need expert advice.

Anyone else want to chime in, feel free.

i would trust the sensibilities of my bro's here more than any self professed style man. i gots to agree with them that black is the choice here.

im still not sure just how a brooks would look on a lemond though as to me it would be like putting chrome wire wheels on an integra lowrider or a thong on Sophia Loren. i would consider a selle san marco rolls or regal in black (yes - even with the embroidery) to be more of a concurrent theme but if your ass says it wants a brooks then choose comfort over style.

although part of me is inquisitive as to what a red regal (from richard sachs) and red bartape might look like.

if in doubt stick to the color of Johnny Cash especially if riding a bike with the name of a man who hails from Reno (by the way what does greg lemond have to do with beunos aires anyway???).

then again why trust me ....... its your ride and how you dress it is a personal statement and a form of expression.

I wouldn't mind seeing Sophia Loren in a WITHOUT thong......nmDave Hickey

questions they are very hard to match to any bike/tape/ scheme. Their natural color doesn't go easily with the flatness of dyed material. However, the depth of form is unmatched. But as Spirito says comfort over style, especially for saddles.
