Whispers of a bygone age...

This will take you to something special. I posted once about club racers. I don't know if I mentioned the Sturmey-Archer ASC or not. For the clubbie of the 1930s-1950s with the sterling this was the Real Deal. For collectors today it's akin to the Holy Grail or at least the Ark of the Covenant.

The ASC was a SA 3 speed FIXED gear. Pretty cool huh? No need to flip-flop here. ASC's draw big $ by themselves the seller may have shorted himself with the Buy It Now.

...that with the current interest in fixed gears it will not be long before a new version of this hub is produced.

A prediction is made. Who cares to shoot it down?

Once the idea of "fixed for training" is firmly embraced by racerboys everywhere it will happen.

Cheers!

A. (Thanks for the link BTW)
Actually there several fixed gear hub options available...Djudd

SA still makes some very good ones and a place in Seattle called Bikesmith's makes a fixed gear two speed.
